After Catania reiterated that Francesco Lodi is not for sale, Inter have reportedly turned their focus on to Parma midfielder Jaime Valdes.

The Nerazzurri and Milan have both confirmed their attempts to take Lodi from Sicily this month, but the Elefantini have refused to listen to offers.

There are now reports that Inter have identified Valdes as the alternative for a mid-season reinforcement.

The Chilean is under contract with Parma until June 2015 and the proposal is believed to be worth €2m plus the loan of a young player.
