Inter director Walter Sabatini confirmed they are “evaluating” Ramires and Alex Teixeira situations, while they “don’t want to lose Joao Mario.”

Former Roma chief Sabatini is the co-ordinator for Suning Group football clubs, working on both Inter and Jiangsu Suning, so they could easily exchange players in January.

“We are in sync with the Coach on the intention of making a few adjustments in January,” Sabatini told Sky Sport Italia.

Portugal international Joao Mario has slipped down the Inter pecking order and has been heavily linked with a move away.

“As with all those who have to earn their place at the World Cup, Joao has some issues with the lack of playing time. We don’t want to lose him, so Luciano Spalletti will find common ground and they’ll work out what to do.”

There have been rumours of an exchange with Paris Saint-Germain’s Javier Pastore or Henrikh Mkhitaryan of Manchester United.

“He is our player and we want to keep him.”
