Matteo Darmian is hoping to receive a new contract from Inter but the club are reportedly not ready to make a decision yet.

The 32-year-old Italian full back is one of many Nerazzurri players whose contracts are expiring next year, alongside teammates like Milan Skriniar, Edin Dzeko, Roberto Gagliardini, Danilo D’Ambrosio and Stefan de Vrij. Inter will have a busy few months deciding which players to keep and which to let go.

As reported by FcInterNews, Darmian is keen to stay with Inter and is hoping to be offered a new contract, but his agent Tullio Tinti has already been informed that any talks will be opened after the World Cup in Qatar. The player would prefer to know his future sooner and he’d be able to look for a new club in January should the Nerazzurri decide to let him go.

The 32-year-old Darmian has featured consistently under Simone Inzaghi this season, making five Serie A starts as he proves himself useful with his tactical flexibility.
