Sky Sport Italia claims Juventus are finalising an agreement with Tiago Djaló’s agents ahead of a permanent €3m transfer.

Djaló’s contract with Ligue 1 side Lille expires in June 2024 and the Portuguese centre-back had reached a verbal agreement with Inter ahead of a free transfer over the summer.

However, Juventus joined the race to sign the Portuguese centre-back, offering his club a chance to cash in from the sale.

Sky Sport Italia is now reporting that the Serie A giants are finalising an agreement with Djaló’s entourage so the Portuguese defender is on the verge of moving to the Allianz Stadium this month.

Reporter Luca Cilli claims Juventus have already reached an agreement with Lille over a €3m transfer.

Gianluca Di Marzio writes on X, formerly Twitter, that the Bianconeri are discussing ‘the details’ with Djaló’s entourage and that the ‘finishing line is near.’

Djaló, 23, has won a Ligue 1 title with Lille in 2020-21. He is a former Milan defender who played 15 games with the Rossoneri’s U19 squad. He has yet to make his first appearance in 2023-24 as he’s been recovering from a knee injury suffered in March 2023.
