Inter are having a difficult start to the campaign and none of that is helping the situation around Milan Skriniar with Paris Saint-Germain ready to pounce.

The centre-back barely played in pre-season due to injury and the negotiations for a transfer to PSG that dragged on for months.

He had already agreed an extension at Inter, but the details of that deal have to change after the Ligue 1 giants offered €9m per season including bonuses.

Skriniar’s current contract only runs to June 2023 and there is the very real risk Inter could now lose him as a free agent over the summer.

It has been a rough season so far for both Inter and the defender, including his own goal in the 3-1 defeat to Udinese on Sunday.

His poor performances are reflected statistically too, already making three errors leading to a shot on goal, compared to just one throughout last season.

He’s winning on average 46% of challenges compared to 54% last term too.

With tepid performances and huge salary demands, it is a tricky situation for Inter to navigate, especially after turning down over €60m.
