Lazar Samardzic is set to have his Inter medical on Thursday after Giovanni Fabbian finally agreed personal terms with Udinese in the exchange deal.

Sportitalia said the two clubs had shaken hands on the situation at the end of July, valuing Samardzic at €25m.

Their offer was made up of youth team player Fabbian – with a buy-back clause – and a €15m cash sum.

However, the final details took longer than expected, largely because Fabbian had to agree personal terms with the Friulani.

According to Sky Sport Italia, that has now been sorted out and Samardzic will be in Milan tomorrow evening, with a medical set for Thursday morning.

The same source also gives more details on the precise nature of the transfer, which is a little more complicated.

For Samardzic it is technically a loan for €4m with an obligation to buy at the end of the season for a further €16m plus €2m in bonuses.

As for Fabbian, he goes to Udinese and Inter retain a buy-back option set at €12m.
