Arturo Vidal is waiting for new offers, but Inter could be prepared to terminate his contract by mutual consent to cut his €6.5m wages off the books.

The midfielder was brought in at the express request of coach Antonio Conte, costing just €1m from Barcelona in September 2020.

Now that Conte has moved on, Vidal no longer has any place in the squad under Simone Inzaghi and his huge salary package is a weight on the club coffers.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, the only interest so far is from Boca Juniors, Flamengo and Club America, but none of them are ready to cover his full wages.

It is therefore increasingly possible Inter will simply ask to terminate the contract by mutual consent so that Vidal can find his own future.

The 34-year-old Chile international is currently on vacation in Dubai and expected to meet his agent there to discuss the options.

If Inter were to terminate his deal, they would still have to give Vidal a golden handshake payment.
