Joaquin Correa remains the favourite to join Inter, as talks with Lazio continue, while Andrea Belotti is seemingly not convinced he should leave Torino to sit on the bench.

The Nerazzurri already brought in Edin Dzeko, but need another striker to completely replace Chelsea-bound Romelu Lukaku.

Duvan Zapata was first choice, but Atalanta set a high price-tag at almost €50m and refused to negotiate this late into the summer.

According to Sportitalia transfer expert Alfredo Pedullà, talks are continuing apace with Lazio and they hope to get the deal done within 48 hours.

Correa has made it abundantly clear he will reject Everton or any other foreign destination, as he has his heart set on following coach Simone Inzaghi to Inter.

Lazio have lowered their asking price from €40m to €35m, while Inter raised their offer to €30m including bonuses.

La Gazzetta dello Sport suggest this evening that Lazio can drop to just €31m.

Belotti would be cheaper, as Torino want €20m for the striker whose contract expires at the end of this season.

However, Sportitalia also note that Il Gallo is hesitant to accept a move where he’d more than likely spend a lot of time on the bench.

Inter are also believed to be offering just €10m plus bonuses for the Italy international.
