Inter have been keeping an eye on Karim Konate for a long time and contacted RB Salzburg to explore a possible move in the coming weeks.

The Nerazzurri are still looking around for a new forward to bolster Simone Inzaghi’s attack, needing to find alternatives after Fiorentina agreed a deal to sign Albert Gudmundsson from Fiorentina.

In the meantime, Inter are still looking for buyers for Marko Arnautovic and Joaquin Correa, two players who have no future in Inzaghi’s project. Medhi Taremi already arrived this summer to add a little more firepower to the attack.

Inter contact for Konate

La Gazzetta dello Sport details how Inter made contact with RB Salzburg to sound out a move for Konate, learning his €25m price tag. The talented 20-year-old is contracted to the Austrian side to June 2028, giving them a strong foundation for negotiations.

The Nerazzurri also want to understand the Ivorian forward’s fitness; he was forced to withdraw from the Champions League preliminary match against Twente on Tuesday due to an apparent knee injury.
