Inter have reportedly spoken to Guus Hiddink, but he wants at least a two-year contract to replace Frank de Boer.

The Nerazzurri sacked De Boer yesterday, and there is now disagreement among different factions about who should be his successor.

Stefano Pioli is being touted by those who run the club on a day-to-day basis, but the club’s owners, Suning Group, would prefer a more high-profile name.

Tuttomercatoweb reports that the Beneamata have spoken to De Boer’s compatriot Guus Hiddink in recent hours, but the two parties are some way apart.

It’s thought the Coach wants at least a two-year contract, rather than fulfilling the caretaker role he has occupied twice at Chelsea.

However, Inter hope to appoint Diego Simeone when he leaves Atletico Madrid at the end of his contract in 2018.

They are therefore offering a maximum of 18 months, which it’s thought is on the table for Pioli.

Should Simeone decide to walk away at the end of the current campaign, the Nerazzurri want to be in a position where they aren’t paying another Coach off from a lengthy contract.
