With Paulo Dybala’s future at Juventus in doubt, La Gazzetta dello Sport reports that Inter director Beppe Marotta is considering signing the Argentinean as a free agent in the summer.

La Joya’s current deal at the Allianz Stadium runs out in June and his future at the club appears in doubt.

Marotta signed him at Juventus from Palermo in a €40m deal in 2015 and is now reportedly considering reuniting with the Argentinean striker at San Siro.

Ajax goalkeeper Andre Onana has already undergone his medical with Inter ahead of a free transfer in the summer and Borussia Monchengladbach defender Matthias Ginter who is also available as a free agent is in advanced talks with the Nerazzurri.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Inter are aiming for a third free signing and Dybala is now on their radars, although talks between the two parties have not begun yet.

Inter may not be able to offer Dybala €10m per season, but the Nerazzurri are trying to lower their wage bill so they could put an adequate proposal on the table in a few weeks.

Dybala had reached an agreement to extend his stay at the club, signing a new €10m-a-year contract including add-ons. However, according to multiple reports, Juventus have decided to change the terms of the agreement and will resume talks in February.

La Gazzetta reported earlier this week that Juventus would offer Dybala his current €7.3m-a-year deal, or even less, so Dybala is considering leaving Juventus at the end of his contract in June.

According to Argentinean journalist Cesar Luis Merlo, Dybala is unwilling to sign a contract extension under these new terms.

  1. Exactly, Moratta knows better… this might be his ploy to force Juve to overpay to keep Dybala… thus reducing their budget for Dusan or Scamacca or some other target… or spotlighting Dybala’s availability to clubs across Europe… Dybala has never reached his potential, Juve are better off without him moaning all the time, or being out with a knock, but losing him for free?? Not so long ago he was worth €70m…

  2. Agree with Interello. Moratta knows what he’s doing. Whether it’s a ploy to keep him at rube or bring him over, he knows what he’s doing.

  3. I’d be more excited if we can get Julian Alvarez for less than his 20M release clause, or swap Scamacca with Pinamonti + little cash, or the dream is to get Vlahovic (unrealistic I know).

Besides we still have 7M/year Alexis Sanchez in our book until 2023. If he’s gone then maybe getting Dybala is a good idea.

  4. Just the typical nonsense transfer speculation. He will not fit Inter‘s formation in the first place. Lautaro is untouchable so that leaves Dzeko’s position, in which Scamacca or another target man would be the prime target. There’s no way Inter will pay 10 million to a bench player.

  5. That is why Inter are now so much better organised then the pub team and whipping boys of Europe. I wouldn’t be surprised if it happened as Marotta crossed over and so to Vidal. With Dybala they get him in sort of his prime despite the injuries. A change of scenery and better cast of players could reinvigorate him. Inter were smart to put in an Anti Juve clause in the case of Icardi. The brain cells at Juve never did it with Dybala. How ironic if he were to accept a bit less but go to Milano and Inter pay nothing in terms of a fee. Juve need not worry as they still have the mighty Danilo and Inter mole Sideways Sandro lol. Mitrovic will replace Dybala and Juve will finally break their CL hoodoo but not next year as Europa League football awaits. They probably couldn’t even win that competition either such is the fall of the clown club.

  6. This is highly unlikely! A great player but a bit overrated and injury prone. I admire him but his current demands won’t do any good to Inter. If Marotta wants him, he might be thinking to sell him later for acapital gain since his free. Otherwise I don’t see any sense on this deal with his high demands.
