Inter showed class in congratulating their city rivals Milan, who won the Scudetto after an 11-year wait.
It was a battle right to the final round of the 2021-22 season, the Rossoneri knowing they needed at least a point away to Sassuolo to secure the title.
They did better than that, winning 3-0 at the Mapei Stadium with an Olivier Giroud brace and Franck Kessie strike, all three of them on Rafael Leao assists.
Inter got the better of Sampdoria by the same scoreline at San Siro, but it was not enough to retain the title that they had won under Antonio Conte last season.

It has still been a successful campaign for Inter in Simone Inzaghi’s debut season, as they won the Coppa Italia and the Supercoppa Italiana.
In both those cases, they defeated Juventus in the Final in extra time, while they also reached the Champions League Round of 16.
Meanwhile, Milan celebrated with a tweet quoting the chant that every Italian title winner does: ‘It’s us, it’s us, we are the Champions of Italy!’

Please give the microphone to Calhanoglu. He was pretty vocal about the differences between the 2 teams during the beginning of the season and how Inter is a lot stronger with a better squad.
Been a while since we had a surprise scudetto winner.
This Milan side winning the scudetto is similar to Leicester winning the EPL. In terms of squad quality atleast.

Inter are the stronger team, who can really doubt that aso? statistically and on direct matches, Inter were superior. That being said this is football and the best team don’t always win. Congrats to AC Milan, Inter were too busy fighting 3 competitions and bottled it.
