Inter boss Simone Inzaghi says Lautaro Martinez remains in doubt for tomorrow’s Champions League game with Barcelona although exams underwent by the Argentinean striker didn’t highlight any injury.

El Toro was feared to have suffered a flexor injury in Inter’s 2-1 loss against Roma on Saturday.

“He underwent an exam this morning, but it didn’t highlight any problem, he was fatigued after the game with Roma,” Inzaghi said at a pre-match press conference today.

“He will partially train with the team today and I must assess him with the doctors. Marcelo Brozovic and Romelu Lukaku are out, Lautaro and Roberto Gagliardini remain in doubt.”

Lautaro is Inter’s best scorer this season with three goals in 10 games across all competitions.

He played 90 minutes against Roma on Saturday but failed to find the net against José Mourinho’s side.

His compatriot Joaquin Correa is expected to replace Lautaro if he is ruled out of tomorrow’s key Champions League game with Barcelona.

Inzaghi and Matteo Darmian are holding their pre-match press conferences as we write, so stay tuned for the rest of Inzaghi’s presser on Football Italia.
