SportMediaset reports today that the Beneamata have spoken with the former Barcelona man’s agent Dmitri Seluk, who was positive about the chances of his client moving to Serie A.

The news outlet believes there is a four-year deal on the table for the 31-year-old, though for considerably less than the €13m he earns in England.

Mediaset states that the next step is for Inter to submit an official bid to Manchester City for the player.

The club have publicly stated that they do not wish to lose the player, however Mediaset asserts that the club would privately like to get the midfielder off the wage bill.
