Inter close to agreeing deal with Dybala after latest meeting

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Inter are close to reaching an agreement with Paulo Dybala over a free move in the summer.

The Argentinean’s contract runs out in June and Juventus have already informed their star that they won’t offer him an extension. Several clubs in Europe have been linked with securing his services, from Atletico Madrid to Tottenham Hotspur, but according to La Gazzetta, Inter are leading the race for La Joya.

A new meeting between the striker’s entourage and the Nerazzurri reportedly took place last week and Dybala seems more and more convinced to join Juventus’ rivals in 2022-23.

The Argentinean feels betrayed by his club and is unwilling to leave Italy. Inter will offer him less money than what he gets in Turin, but a central role in the project led by Simone Inzaghi. Dybala is on a €7m-a-year deal at the Allianz Stadium, but Inter will only offer him €6m per season, plus add-ons.

The Nerazzurri still need to free up wages before putting a concrete offer on the table, but Dybala seems determined to join the Nerazzurri as a free agent in the summer.

Arturo Vidal, Matias Vecino, Alexis Sanchez and Stefan de Vrij are expected to leave, making room for Dybala and allowing Inter to make him one of the highest earners at the club with Marcelo Brozovic and Lautaro Martinez.
