Inter director general Marco Fassone reveals qualifying for the Champions League is a primary target, above the Scudetto.
The Nerazzurri team is being rebuilt from its foundations after the disappointing last season, which saw them walking home eighth and with no prospect of playing in a European competition.
“Inter have to be at the top and we must certainly play in the Champions League,” Fassone told Tuttosport.
“This has to be a primary objective for the club. We'll see about the Scudetto.

“Should we fail to qualify, we'll have to review everything that happened over the course of the championship.
“We're doing our utmost to build an adequate squad.”
Fassone then commented on the controversy surrounding Mohamed Salah, as Inter have been accused of being behind the player's rift with Fiorentina.
“The attacks we received from Florence have been excessive and unwarranted.
“Inter is standing at the sidelines to understand the situation because, as of right now, it's not exactly clear who owns Salah.
“Should he become available the Egyptian could be the right player for us.”
