Inter CEO Beppe Marotta was not interested in discussing the future of Milan Skriniar amid rumours he could leave for Paris Saint-Germain before this month’s transfer window closes.

The 27-year-old Slovakian centre back’s agent Roberto Sistici told the media on Monday, during Inter’s clash with Empoli, that his client would not be signing a new contract with the club, essentially confirming his departure this year.

Now it remains to be seen if PSG will shore up the cash to purchase Skriniar from Inter this month or wait until the summer to snap him up on a free transfer. A lucrative contract, reportedly worth over €9m net per season, has been prepared for the former Sampdoria defender.

After leaving the Lega Serie A assembly today, Inter CEO Marotta was asked if Skriniar would be leaving this month, and he kept his reply brief, commenting: “No, really guys. I have nothing to say.”

The Nerazzurri chief was then asked if he had any response to Skriniar’s agent Sistici and his recent admission, but he was evasive, saying: “No, not today.”
