Former Serie A and Italy star Antonio Cassano says Romelu Lukaku must ‘wake up’, and believes Alessandro Bastoni is ‘overrated.’
The Nerazzurri suffered their first defeat of the season against Lazio on Friday. They are now preparing to meet Cremonese at the Stadio Meazza tomorrow.
The Nerazzurri will be without Romelu Lukaku, who has suffered a thigh injury and could remain out of action until the September break.
“Lukaku must wake up because due to his physical structure, he takes one or two months to get in shape,” Cassano said on Instagram.
“Inter kept a sterile possession and created no chances in 45 minutes against Lazio. They’ll struggle if those two or three stars don’t step up this season. Even Marcelo Brozovic struggled.
“Look at Alessandro Bastoni, he is very overrated and he is doing disasters. Let’s see what will happen this season, but I still think Inter will finish up there.”
The ex-Inter and Milan striker had words of praise for Maurizio Sarri’s Lazio: “They dominated Inter, to me, they are one of the underdogs in Serie A this season. I have fun when I watch their games, same as Atalanta.”
