Inter will not sell Mauro Icardi even if Napoli's offer reaches the €60m level, say reports.

The Argentine is widely regarded as Aurelio De Laurentiis' number one target to replace Gonzalo Higuain, whose move to Juventus is all but official.

According to the Gazzetta dello Sport, the Suning ownership told their sporting director Piero Ausilio that selling Icardi would be too far removed from their general strategy to even contemplate the move.

The Chinese want to build a young and talented team and the 23-year-old is an essential part of that. This holds true even in spite of the rough terms with his wife and agent Wanda, who is trying to scrape a lucrative new contract deal.

Furthermore, they have apparently decided to sell none of their big players, so that even an offer of €60m would not budge them.

As part of that same strategy, they will only buy one major player and that is probably going to be Lazio's Antonio Candreva.
