Inter have beaten Fiorentina 2-1 in extra time to retain the prestigious Viareggio Cup youth tournament.

The competition is held every year in the build-up to Easter and includes club sides from all over the world.

It was also won by Inter and their Coach Stefano Vecchi last term, taking their total tally to eight trophies.

Fiorentina had taken the lead at the dawn of the second half through Riccardo Sottil, who tapped in to complete a well-worked team move.

He is the 18-year-old son of former Fiorentina defender Andrea Sottil.

To make matters worse for the Tuscans, centre-back Pierluigi Pinto was sent off for a second bookable offence.
