The Inter striker has been linked with a move to the La Liga giants for the last several months, with it being reported that the Argentine wants to play alongside Lionel Messi.

Several reports have indicated that the Catalan giants won’t meet Martinez’s buyout clause, which is set at €111m but only active for the first two weeks in July.

Several reports have indicated that the Catalan giants won’t meet Martinez’s buyout clause, which is set at €111m but only active for the first two weeks in July.

Instead, Barca are looking to insert players into the deal to lower the price tag, with Arturo Vidal, Ivan Rakitic and Rafinha all supposedly offered.

Inter however aren’t as enthusiastic on those options, and would like younger players to build their team around.

Tuttosport states that the Nerazzurri would like one of Arthur or Carles Alena and defender Jean-Clair Todibo inserted into any deal for Martinez.

The Turin daily even speculates that Ousmane Dembele could be offered in a deal for Martinez, but Inter are reportedly put off the player due to his injury record.
