According to Il Corriere dello Sport, Inter are considering taking action against Fiorentina President Rocco Commisso if the FIGC Prosecutor won’t ban him after his recent interviews.

The Nerazzurri seem to have lost patience with the Tuscans’ patron who once again criticised the Serie A champions and other Italian clubs in his latest interview with the Financial Times.

Commisso said that owners of other Serie A clubs are jealous of him “because who else has done what I’ve done?”

“Want me to list them? Not the Agnellis. The grandfather, maybe, not the grandchildren,” he added.

“Not Gordon at Milan. Not that kid at Suning. It’s other people’s money. OK? And then we go down the list [of club owners in Italy], there’s nobody, nobody like me here.”

Commisso has been quite loud in criticising the Italian football system lately and has repeatedly accused Juventus and Inter of not respecting the rules.

“Rules in football must be transparent. It is not possible that Fiorentina must be in line with the liquidity index every three or six months to bring money to Italy while clubs like Juventus or Inter don’t respect it, perhaps by delaying the payment of salaries,” he said in an interview with Rai 2 in September.

“Why do I need to bring money and others don’t do the same? I know what you write in Italy, rules are not respected.”

“We don’t have a problem with anybody coming in. We have a problem with people playing by the same rules,” he added less than a month later.

“There should have been consequences for anybody not meeting these rules.”

According to Il Corriere dello Sport, Inter expect the FIGC Prosecutor to take action against Commisso, otherwise, they will report him seeking a ban from the Italian football authorities.

8 thought on “Inter want to take action against Commisso”
  1. Lmfao maybe in china suning would have a case to do more than just silence him but here in the industrial/western world Stephen, we allow freedoms like the one to speak 😃

  2. As silly a move as Fiorentina‘s attempt to sue Inter for poaching Mo Salah of 5 or 6 years ago. Money talks in football and the likes of Commisso should just be laughed at for his jealousy and bitterness.

  3. Rocco does have a point, but this is a problem in all leagues and if Italy cracks down on liqudity manipulation and the others don’t, the italian league will fall further behind in comparison to England and Spain…

  4. Laugh if you must, but Commisso is trying to bring a modern honest attitude to Serie A and Italy in general. This league has been biased to the Northern trio of Milan and Turin for ages and needs to end.
The man has spent a fortune to rebuild this club and stadium and has asked for ” fair Play “. But what does fair play mean in a nation steeped in a culture of corruption and patronage, and Inter wants to investigate him for expressing his rights of opinion and free speech ? Really. This is the same team that failed to meet payroll last season, sold playes , lost their best manager and needed a huge investment of capital.
Italy lags in Europe because of a culture that refuses to honor modern business practice that helps advance both employer and employed. Commisso is a leader who embraces a new mentality that is badly needed.

  5. I get what you guys are saying but, he basically only shoots for Inter, not all of Italian football and until the pandemic, Inter had a fairly sound business model which was getting close to breaking even. The Italian Gov should have helped football but didnt, what does this guy want? The big 3 to go out of business because they had to delay salaries a few months? How would that leave Seria A? He would have to sell his latest Chiesa or Vlahavoic overseas…….maybe this is what he wants, a weak Seria A. He is very naïve if he thinks Italy is the only league with such problems.

  6. I think fatter he gets punished for just being disrespectful maybe he’ll think of things to say before saying them. No wonder he can’t hold on top players someone needs to tell him that he owns a midtable team and it’ll always be that way crying about it won’t change anything.

  7. If what he was saying wasn’t true, they wouldn’t be so upset and want him banned. The truth stings.
