Inter have asked fans to ‘responsibly celebrate’ the Scudetto by ‘respecting all the provisions in force’ due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Over 30,000 Inter fans celebrated the Scudetto in the streets of Milan last Sunday, causing controversy for breaking COVID restrictions.

News agency ANSA reports Inter have sent a note to the Nerazzurri fans ahead of the match against Sampdoria on Saturday, asking them to follow the rules.

“Inter invite fans to responsibly celebrate the victory of the 19th Scudetto, respecting all the provisions in force to counteract the COVID-19 pandemic,” the letter said.

“Understanding well the emotion and importance of the moment, but avoiding the creation of gatherings and risky situations for one’s own health and others remains of primary importance to avoid contagion and better enjoy this special moment.”
