Former Juventus forward Renato Buso admits Inter are genuine Scudetto contenders after last night’s goalless draw between the teams.

The result means the Nerazzurri remain top of Serie A, two points clear of both the Old Lady and Napoli.

“It is a well-drilled Inter,” Buso said of Luciano Spalletti’s team’s chances of winning their first League title in eight years.

“Juve had their chances with Mandzukic, they did a little bit more in the game but Inter are solid – Italian you might say.

“They are contenders for the Scudetto because they concede very few goals. In such an important match, they showed they are there.

“They also created a great chance at the end.”

Buso, who played for Juve between 1985 and 1989, predicted an ‘uncertain’ race for the Scudetto.

“Juve are up there, Inter are up there so it is an uncertain title race.

“But it is an Inter who are performing above expectations and they have shown great solidity.”
