Inter are looking for a new defender ahead of the summer transfer window and have identified Union Berlin’s Danilho Doekhi as an interesting option, a player Napoli are also keeping an eye on.

The Nerazzurri are preparing to overhaul their defence in the summer, with Milan Skriniar essentially already out the door and the expiring contracts of Stefan de Vrij and Danilo D’Ambrosio.

Due to Inter’s delicate financial position, the club are looking for the right low-cost option to strengthen Simone Inzaghi’s backline and have begun identifying a number of possible targets.

SempreInter.com and Corriere dello Sport highlight how Inter have added Doekhi to their list of options, believing the Union Berlin defender could be the right fit for Inzaghi’s squad in the Lombardy capital, something confirmed by his agent Seraino Dalgliesh in an interview with SempreInter.com.

The Bundesliga outfit value the 24-year-old Dutchman, who arrived on a free transfer last summer from Vitesse, at around €15m.

Napoli are also interested in Doekhi, putting some pressure on Inter ahead of the summer transfer window.
