According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Nikola Milenkovic is among Inter‘s primary targets to potentially replace Stefan de Vrij in the summer, but Manchester United are also scouting the Fiorentina defender.

The 24-year-old signed a contract extension until 2023 in August and is expected to leave the club at the end of the season. According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Manchester United scouts were at the Artemio Franchi to watch the Serbia international during last weekend’s Serie A clash with Bologna.

The Nerazzurri are keeping a close eye on the centre-back and will monitor him tomorrow when Fiorentina meet Inter at the Stadio Meazza. La Viola’s asking price is in the region of €15m.

The Serie A giants are preparing for life after Stefan de Vrij who could leave the club at the end of the season given that his contract expires in 2023.

Inter also have other targets on their agenda: Torino‘s Gleison Bremer, Empoli‘s Mattia Viti, Feyenoord’s Marcos Senesi and Lazio‘s Luiz Felipe, who is available as a free agent. However, the latter seems close to joining Betis on a free transfer, while Chelsea’s Andreas Christensen is on the verge of joining Barcelona.

  1. From what I understand he has a release clause at 15M, which is clearly worth the investment. However Inter`s top target for the defence is Bremer.

Given that Kolarov will be leaving, D`Ambrosio and Ranocchia`s contracts are expiring, they might sell De Vrij and take 2 more defenders.
