Inter and Juventus on course for transfer derby for Milenkovic

Nikola Milenkovic will reportedly be sold by Fiorentina this summer and everything is setting up for a transfer market derby between Inter and Juventus.

The 24-year-old Serbian defender signed a one-year contract extension with the Viola last August in order to ensure that he wouldn’t leave on a free transfer this summer, allowing the club to cash in before his deal expires in 2023. For years Milenkovic has been linked with a move to the Premier League but a stay in Italy is now looking increasingly likely.

Calciomercato.com details how Inter have made the most serious move for Milenkovic, meeting several times with his agent Fali Ramadani to discuss a possible deal. Everything now depends on their outgoing market and in particular Milan Skriniar’s possible sale to Paris Saint-Germain, which would open up both a move for the Serbian centre back and Torino star Gleison Bremer.

In the last few days, Juventus have also re-ignited their interest in the 24-year-old defender, preparing for the possible departure of Matthijs de Ligt. A transfer market Derby d’Italia is now being set up and things could explode next month.

  1. Watch Commisso sells him at half price to his beloveds team Juve then start crying and blame everybody.

  2. ha ha It is so telling when people complain about teams not keeping players or blame management for selling. Just look at the last two sales to Juve, both had made their mind’s up long before they left and no amount of talk from the president or management was going to get them to stay, you saw what happened with chiesa, they convince him to sign an extension less than 12 months later he is doing everything possible to leave. When something like this happenes be it either of the last two or anyone else, as soon as they want away that bad there is no point in keeping/trying to keep them.

All you are doing is creating a divide in the team and dressing room. They cause more trouble than what they are worth, they don’t want to be part of the team they don’t want to be there so all you can do is sell them for as much as you can get. But guess what, just like in the last two instances the club buying them already knows that player only want to go to you, so they have the bargaining power not you. That player wont leave for anywhere else and they know it. It is not a problem with Fiorentina its the same story we have seen over and over the last few years with young players all over italy.
