Nikola Milenkovic, who has been heavily linked with a move to both Inter and Juventus recently, did not take part in Fiorentina’s pre-season friendly against Galatasaray tonight.
Vincenzo Italiano’s side faced off against their Turkish opposition at the Untersberg Arena in Austria this evening, their first friendly of the retreat. It was a tough night for the Viola, who suffered a 2-1 loss after first half goals from Muhammed Kerem Aktürkoğlu and Emre Akbaba. Riccardo Sottil netted Fiorentina’s consolation goal in the 72nd minute.
One thing that was worth noting was Milenkovic’s absence. The talented 24-year-old centre back remained on the bench for the entire 90 minutes, suggesting that a move away from Florence may not be too far away.
Both Inter and Juventus have been linked with the Serbian defender and it could be another close battle for his signature, although the Nerazzurri will be hoping to take revenge after missing out on Gleison Bremer.
