Inter and Chelsea continue negotiations for the return of Romelu Lukaku, but are also in wider discussions around Denzel Dumfries, Milan Skriniar, Alessandro Bastoni and Stefan de Vrij.

A crunch meeting was expected today in which Chelsea were meant to set the price-tag for the paid one-season loan, having rejected the €5m offer.

However, Sky Sport Italia maintain there has still been no response from Stamford Bridge, although confidence remains they can do a deal by the end of the week for €10m plus bonuses.

The development, according to both Sky Sport Italia and the Corriere della Sera, is that the two clubs are also having wider talks around a group of Inter players who are of interest to Chelsea.

Dumfries is the main target, with a price-tag of circa €45m, while Paris Saint-Germain remain the favourites for €80m-rated centre-back Skriniar.

Dutch international defender De Vrij is a cheaper alternative, but Simone Inzaghi and Inter directors are refusing to consider a sale for Bastoni.
