Inter already considering Inzaghi’s contract extension

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Inter are already considering extending Simone Inzaghi’s contract until June 2025.

The Serie A defending champions sit second in the Serie A table, just one point behind their city rivals Milan.

They have also managed to qualify for the Champions League last 16 with a game to spare, meaning that they can win their group if they beat Real Madrid at the Bernabeu tomorrow.

Inzaghi replaced Antonio Conte at Inter over the summer, signing a two-year deal with the Nerazzurri.

However, according to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Inter are already considering a contract extension for the 45-year-old.

Inter director Beppe Marotta is determined to open talks in the new year and finalise an agreement to avoid seeing Inzaghi start the next campaign with an expiring contract.

The two parties could meet in March to discuss a new two-year deal and a pay rise.

Inzaghi is on a €4.5m-a-year deal at the Stadio Meazza and his new contract could be worth €6m-a-year.
