According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Inter are already considering extending Simone Inzaghi’s contract until June 2025.

The Serie A defending champions sit second in the Serie A table, just one point behind their city rivals Milan.

They have also managed to qualify for the Champions League last 16 with a game to spare, meaning that they can win their group if they beat Real Madrid at the Bernabeu tomorrow.

Inzaghi replaced Antonio Conte at Inter over the summer, signing a two-year deal with the Nerazzurri.

However, according to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Inter are already considering a contract extension for the 45-year-old.

Inter director Beppe Marotta is determined to open talks in the new year and finalise an agreement to avoid seeing Inzaghi start the next campaign with an expiring contract.

The two parties could meet in March to discuss a new two-year deal and a pay rise.

Inzaghi is on a €4.5m-a-year deal at the Stadio Meazza and his new contract could be worth €6m-a-year.

  1. He’s so underrated , he’s gonna do great things at inter if they supply him with the tools he needs

  2. Can’t argue with that. Even as a Rossonero you can’t help but respect how he’s somehow gone between 2 clubs with 2 totally different sets of players, not quite got what he was promised at Inter and still got them playing out positive results. When the league is as competitive as this is makes it better for everyone involved, so go for it.

  3. Also he’s doing with Inter in Europe what pazzo Conte couldn’t do but doing it with 2 less star players, that should be a point of satisfaction for every fan base in Italy!

  4. I really appreciate him but whenever a coaches contract is extended the results deteriorate. Extend definitely but be patient when there is a negative patch.

  5. This guy is gold and we are in fine hands with him at the helm. I hope he gets the reinforcements needed, but in the meantime we are playing even better then last season.
