Inter flop Gabriel Barbosa could end up at Flamengo, in a swap deal for 17-year-old Lincoln Corrêa dos Santos.

The striker, who is known as Gabigol, cost the Nerazzurri €33.5m in the summer of 2016, but he failed to make a single Serie A start and scored only once.

After a failed loan spell at Benfica he was sent back to Santos, but that loan deal expires in January and it’s unlikely they can afford to buy him outright.

After a failed loan spell at Benfica he was sent back to Santos, but that loan deal expires in January and it’s unlikely they can afford to buy him outright.

The Beneamata don’t want to make a loss, which means they have to sell for around €20m once amortisation is factored in.

No Brazilian club is likely to pay that, while Gabigol’s failure at two European clubs make that unlikely too.

Instead, reports Fox Sports Brazil, he could be offered to Flamengo as a replacement for Lucas Paqueta, who joins Milan in January.

He would simply be exchanged with Lincoln, the promising 17-year-old who has nine goals in 18 games for Brazil’s Under-17 squad.
