Inter are preparing a new bid for Romelu Lukaku, it’s reported, offering Ivan Perisic plus €55m cash to Manchester United or €78m in total.

The Nerazzurri chiefs had a summit with Coach Antonio Conte today, in which he again demanded the purchase of first choice striker Lukaku.

According to FCInterNews.it, the proposal will be €55m cash plus winger Perisic, who Conte declared at the weekend was “not suited” to his tactics.

Perisic had been a main target for Manchester United last year, but that was when Jose Mourinho was at the helm and the asking price was €50m.

The situation has now changed and Perisic’s value plummeted, while the Old Trafford outfit are no longer that interested in his services.

La Gazzetta dello Sport suggest the offer will reach €78m including a variety of add-ons and bonuses.

This is still well below the €84m price-tag that Manchester United have placed on the Belgian centre-forward.

“Every decision will be made and shared with Conte, without doubt, but we must also recognise that there are economic balances to be respected and so we are keeping a close eye on the Financial Fair Play situation,” said director Beppe Marotta today.

“We cannot make too heavy an investment, as we risk falling back into the UEFA bad books.”
