According to Il Corriere del Mezzogiorno, Napoli directors have held ‘intense’ talks with Arsenal for Jakub Kiwior, but the Gunners are only open to a loan deal with an obligation to buy.
Arsenal defender Kiwior, a former Spezia star, has emerged as Napoli’s main candidate to strengthen their defence in the winter transfer window.
According to the latest report from Corriere del Mezzogiorno, talks between the two clubs are ‘intense’ but still not enough to reach an economic agreement.

The report adds that Arsenal are open to selling the player but only on a permanent transfer or loan with an obligation to buy.
The Poland international has also been linked with a move to Juventus as the Bianconeri are looking for Gleison Bremer and Juan Cabal’s replacements.
Napoli lost back-to-back games against Lazio in Coppa Italia and Serie A, and Antonio Conte recently urged the club to sign reinforcements.
Kiwior, 24, has collected 644 minutes of football across 13 appearances with Arsenal this season.
