The youngster impressed last term out on loan at Pescara, playing a significant part in the Delfini’s promotion push, and has subsequently been linked with a number of Serie A sides this summer, where it is believed he will spend next season, one way or another.
His agent has suggested that this will be by staying at Napoli, because he is preparing to spend pre-season under Walter Mazzarri’s eye.
“The plan of the club is to take him into pre-season retreat because they have been studying him all year,” Fabio Andreotti told Radio Kiss Kiss Napoli.
“Napoli want Lorenzo to be one of the four strikers at Napoli next season. The Vesuviani are now concentrating their efforts in the market on midfield, whilst for their attack, if they have the opportunity to look for a new striker [in the event of Ezequiel Lavezzi’s sale], they will have no problem.”
