There are 11 Serie A captains who see their contract expire in June 2022, including Alessio Romagnoli, Andrea Belotti, and Lorenzo Insigne.

Insigne, 30, may leave Napoli before the end of 2021-22 as, according to reports in Italy, Napoli are open to selling him for €30m this summer.

The Italy winger scored two goals for the Azzurri at UEFA Euro 2020 and will not extend his contract at the Stadio Maradona if Napoli don’t offer him a pay rise.

The Partenopei may be forced to cut Insigne’s wages to keep the books balanced and both Barcelona and Tottenham have been linked with securing his services.

Napoli set Insigne price

However, the Azzurri hero is one of the many Serie A captains who run out of their contracts on June 30, 2022.

Milan‘s Alessio Romagnoli has attracted interest from Barcelona, while Andrea Belotti has been linked with a move to Roma.

The Italy striker has a €100m release clause included in his contract, but the Granata are now willing to discuss his sale for €30m.

Lorenzo Pellegrini is another Italy international who runs out of his contract at the end of the next season.

Barcelona consider swap deal to sign Romagnoli

However, it is still unclear whether he will captain the Giallorossi next season, but, surely, Roma will offer him a contract extension trying to remove a €30m release clause included in his contract.

This is the list of Serie A captains who see their deals expire next June, meaning they will be free to sign a pre-contract agreement with any other club from January.
