According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Lorenzo Insigne met the MLS vice president Lino Di Cuollo in Naples, but the summit has nothing to do with a possible move of the Italian star in the USA.

Insigne sees his contract with Napoli expire at the end of the season, and rumours link him with Inter, Chelsea, and Manchester United.

The Italy star reportedly met the MLS vice president Lino Di Cuollo in a popular restaurant in the centre of Naples yesterday, along with his agent Vincenzo Pisacane and the intermediary Andrea D’Amico.

As per La Gazzetta dello Sport, a representative of Toronto FC also attended the lunch meeting.

However, the summit has nothing to do with a possible move of Insigne to the MLS.

His agent Pisacane has told Il Mattino that the only reason why Insigne met the MLS representative was to plan some real estate investment in the USA by the 30-year-old.

Insigne remains in talks with Napoli over a new deal, but the two parties are nowhere close to reaching an agreement.
