Napoli captain Lorenzo Insigne scored two penalty goals when the Azzurri made ‘a great response’ in the 3-0 win over Bologna. ‘I have missed a few, but I have always been ready to take them’.
The Partenopei star scored a brace when Luciano Spalletti oversaw the win from the stands, as the coach was suspended after the red card against Roma last time.

And the captain spoke to Sky Sport Italia after securing three points on Thursday night, claiming he was never scared of stepping up when needed, despite having ‘missed a few’ penalties recently.
“I missed a few, but I’ve always been ready to take them,” Insigne told Sky Sport Italia. “I’ve never had these problems. Only those who take penalties can miss them. Today, I was calm.
“But the only thing that mattered was to respond to Milan’s win.”
Spalletti and sporting director Cristiano Giuntoli stressed Napoli were not looking at the other teams in the table and only focused on their own performance.
But Insigne highlighted the 3-0 win over Sinisa Mihajlovic’s men was ‘a great response’, even if he knows there are still 28 games to be played in Serie A.
“It’s a great response, the championship is still long,” Insigne said. “We know we are strong. Those who go on the pitch, those who enter off the bench…
“As the coach said, the five changes are even more important, they are five other starters. We must continue like this; the path is long and we must be calm.”
