Lorenzo Insigne is in Italy’s preliminary World Cup squad and his agent “knew Cesare Prandelli would put his faith” in the Napoli talent.

Coach Prandelli announced his 30-man squad for pre-tournament training today, though only 23 will take part.

“We knew Prandelli would put his faith in Lorenzo, now the next step is to get into the final 23,” representative Fabio Andreotti told Tuttomercatoweb.

“They are all talented players and it won’t be easy to figure out how the Coach will analyse things.

“We hope Lorenzo can go to Brazil, but have to wait for Prandelli’s definitive call-ups. Of course he was happy and aspires to the final call.

“He feels satisfied with the work done so far. He cares a lot and knows this call-up can bring some positive results.”
