Luciano Spalletti finally has some good news ahead of Napoli’s big match against Juventus, as Lorenzo Insigne and Fabian Ruiz have shaken off COVID-19.
The two star names were huge doubts to feature in the Serie A clash on January 6 after they tested positive just before Christmas.
However, they were today both given the all-clear and can resume training from tomorrow, following their standard FIGC medical tests.
It is a boost for Spalletti, who discovered Hirving Lozano had tested positive while on his Christmas vacation in Mexico.
He will already be without suspended Mario Rui against Juventus, while Kalidou Koulibaly and Victor Osimhen are out of action.
Kostas Manolas was sold to Olympiakos and therefore leaves in the January transfer window.
Meanwhile, Juventus announced that Under-23 player Koni De Winter has tested positive for COVID-19.
He has made two appearances for the senior squad this season, both of them in the Champions League, including a start in the 1-0 victory over Malmo on December 8.
