Gokhan Inler will not leave Napoli in the transfer window, according to sporting director Riccardo Bigon.

The Swiss midfielder has seen limited playing time this term, leading to speculation that he could look to leave San Paolo, but Bigon has again stated that the player will stay, and discussed new deals for Giandomenico Mesto and Christian Maggio.

“He’s a good player who isn’t playing all the time, so it’s normal to talk about him,” Bigon admitted as he spoke to Radio Kiss Kiss Napoli.

“Gokhan is our player, he’s been an important player for years and we don’t intend to sell him right now.

“Maggio and Mesto? We have both the time and an agreement with the players to talk about that later.

“In January we’ll focus on the transfer market, then we’ll see what will happen.”
