Dusan Vlahovic has pulled out from the Serbian national team due to a groin injury.
The 22-year-old Serbian forward was called up by coach Dragan Stojković for the upcoming friendly matches against Hungary and Denmark, but now he’ll be heading back to Turin in order to recover. He has already made 14 caps for his country, scoring seven goals.
As highlighted by journalist Nicola Balice, Vlahovic has withdrawn from the Serbia camp after talks between the Juventus doctors and the doctors of the Serbian national team. The 22-year-old forward also spoke with coach Stojković and they decided it was better for him to use this international break to recover from a groin issue.
Vlahovic will return to Turin soon, where he will carry out recovery work with the Bianconeri medical staff and trainers.
The 22-year-old forward has made 35 appearances across all competitions so far this season, for a total of 2942 minutes. In that time, he has scored 25 goals and provided six assists.
