Mario Rui limped off with a muscular problem during today’s friendly match for Napoli, while he continues to be linked with moves to Lazio and Al-Nassr.

The Portuguese veteran full-back lasted only 33 minutes in the test against SPAL before he pulled up with a muscular issue, spoke to the medical staff and was replaced by Matias Olivera.

It could well be the final time he appears in a Napoli jersey, as there continue to be reports of a possible exit over the summer.

The 32-year-old is under contract until June 2025 and is likely to extend by one more year if he doesn’t find a new club.

Sportitalia report of interest from Cristiano Ronaldo’s Al-Nassr in the Saudi Pro League, while Lazio are also keeping an eye on the situation for a reunion with his former Empoli and Napoli coach Maurizio Sarri.

Mario Rui spent most of his career in Italy, arriving for Parma in 2011 and going on to represent Gubbio, Spezia, Empoli, Roma and Napoli.
