Injury problems are piling up for France at Euro 2020, as Marcus Thuram and Thomas Lemar both limped off during today’s training session.

Les Bleus are due to play Switzerland on Monday in the Round of 16, at the National Arena in Bucharest.

However, coach Didier Deschamps has growing injury concerns going into that game.

Marcus Thuram limped off during a five-against-five session this afternoon, seemingly struggling with a muscular issue in the adductors.

Moments later, Lemar clattered into goalkeeper Mike Maignan and appeared to sprain his ankle.

He was carried off the pitch by two members of staff, who supported him on their shoulders as he hobbled away.

It’s a real concern now, seeing as France already lost Ousmane Dembele for the rest of the tournament, while Lucas Hernandez and Lucas Digne both limped off during last night’s 2-2 draw with Portugal, a result that allowed them to qualify in first place.
