The Italian international has struggled since moving to Borussia Dortmund in the summer, and remained on the bench throughout last night’s 3-0 defeat to Juventus.

Now Sky reports that the former Torino man is seeking a return to Italy, with several clubs tracking him.

The news outlet believes that Milan have already made initial contact with the player’s representatives, while Fiorentina are considering a move should Mario Gomez or Aberto Gilardino leave.

However, it’s thought that Immobile’s preference would be Napoli, as he was born in Torre Annunziata, a suburb of Naples.

The striker is known to be good friends with Napoli forward Lorenzo Insigne, making a move to the Partenopei all the more attractive, though with a long contract in Germany Immobile is in no hurry to move.
