Ciro Immobile was moved to tears as he received an award for becoming the all-time top scorer in Lazio history with 160 goals.

The special edition framed jersey was handed to him by President Claudio Lotito on the pitch ahead of this eveningโ€™s game with Juventus.

He was then left in tears as he looked up at the Curva Nord and saw the giant image of his face, part of the choreography prepared by the Biancocelesti supporters in his honour.

It included a banner that read: โ€˜Welcome to history.โ€™

Immobile beat the all-time record set by Silvio Piola of 159 goals.

  1. Refereeing in serie A is the worst in Europe this season. I am a huge fan of Roma and serie A But i am finding it hard to watch the games this season to many games have been decided by rediculous penalty decisions where the contact is minimal to non existent. Just turned on Lazio vs juventus to see the softest penalty ever given too juventus , It seems like every serie A game has these ridiculous decisions. Itโ€™s ruining the product. There is more contact in basketball

  2. Tha invisible penalty! Itโ€™s in Juve history, even with VAR. letโ€™s be honest they are so bad they need the help at the moment!

  3. How many close games have the refs given questionable penalties that have helped Juve? it has become more than projected conspiracy or historical respect and the entire league suffers from this paranoia of corruption. it must end regardless of the past success of this franchise. Is it any wonder that fans and players have complained for so long without any accountability. It is just terribly tiresome, sad when the richest team in Italy requires assistance from officials.
