Lazio striker Ciro Immobile will increase the workload today and carry out tests to determine if he will be back against Juventus this weekend.

Maurizio Sarri hopes to have the Biancocelesti striker available for the big game against his former club, and Immobile left fans hoping for a quick return to the pitch.

Lazio injury update for Immobile

The striker pulled out of the Italy squad due to a calf injury and was training in a swimming pool in recent days.

Tuttomercatoweb reported from the Fratelli Tutti project, and Immobile explained he could be back against the Bianconeri: “We’ll see, let’s try.”

This Wednesday is a key day to determine his presence on Saturday, as the 31-year-old will carry out the decisive examinations.

If the leading goalscorer in Serie A has completely recovered, he will return to training ahead of the game against the Bianconeri.

Immobile has scored 10 goals in 11 league games this term, continuing to impress since his move to the Aquile from Sevilla in July 2016.
