Lazio striker Ciro Immobile is in doubt for tomorrow’s Serie A match against Genoa after skipping training due to a stomach bug.
The game is due to kick off on Friday at 17.30 GMT at the Stadio Olimpico.
According to reports, Immobile did not take part in today’s training session, as he was struggling with a gastrointestinal issue.
It remains to be seen how the situation will develop over the next 24 hours and if it will leave the centre-forward debilitated.
Luis Alberto, Mattia Zaccagni and Pedro are all expected to be back in the squad, although not necessarily from the starting XI.
So far this season, when Immobile has been unavailable, coach Maurizio Sarri tended to use Pedro as a False 9 rather than rely on misfiring understudy Vedat Muriqi.
Kosovo international Muriqi has made 47 competitive appearances in the Lazio jersey and contributed just two goals.
Immobile has scored 16 goals this season in 21 games between Serie A and the Champions League.
