Immobile scored a brace in a crushing victory over Udinese at the Stadio Olimpico that firmly consolidates Lazio’s position in third place and his Capocannoniere status.

“I am happy, we did a great job, and it wasn’t easy. These are the games that you cannot afford to lose if you want to reach your objectives.

“We are proud, and the fans were great," the striker told DAZN.

Immobile could’ve scored a hat trick, but left the penalty for Luis Alberto and has no regrets.

“He [Luis Alberto] deserved a goal, how could I not leave it for him? I have also left penalties to [Felipe] Caicedo and [Joaquin] Correa this season. What is important is that I can make assists.”

Immobile has now scored 17 goals in 17 competitive matches.

Lazio face Juventus next weekend in a crunch encounter, especially as the Bianconeri dropped to second place behind Inter.

“Everyone deserves to play against Juve for all that we are doing. Unity is important.”
