Lazio's Ciro Immobile is the only striker other than 1930s legend Giuseppe Meazza to score at least 12 goals in the opening 10 rounds of two different Serie A seasons.

Immobile's double in the 4-0 win over Torino on Wednesday evening has taken him to 12 goals in his first 10 games, sending him top of the Capocannoniere charts.

This is the second time Immobile has scored at least 12 goals in the opening 10 rounds, with the first coming in the 2017-18 season, and in turn equalled Meazza's long-standing record.

Meazza first hit 12 in 10 for Inter in the 1933-34 season, and he later followed it up again, like Immobile, two seasons later in 1935-36.

The legendary striker's record stood for 84 years.

Meazza scored an incredible 338 goals in his career. He is third in the Italian all time record goalscorer's list behind Alex Del Piero and Silvio Piola.
